Vedder Price Shareholders Brooke Conner and Brent Connor are set to participate in a variety of panels at the Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) event, Pocket MBA 2025: Finance for Lawyers and Other Professionals. Happening October 15-16 in Chicago, the program will provide a broad overview of finance and practical legal considerations.
As co-chair of the conference, Brooke Conner will offer opening remarks on the first day, then be part of the panel, “Understanding Accounting Fundamentals and Reporting Concepts,” which will introduce attorneys to core accounting concepts and principles. She will also be part of the panel, “Financial Statements in Practice,” which will discuss the purposes of an entity’s financial statements, as well as the panel on the second day, “Economic Concepts in the Litigation Context,” to share insights on practical application of economic concepts in disputes.
Brent Connor will present the session, “Regulatory and Legal Compliance in International Business and Trade” with his fellow panelists, to examine the most common and prevalent compliance issues encountered by companies today.
