Tax Shareholders Megan Jones and Tom Geraghty spoke at USC Gould School of Law’s Tax Institute on January 26-28, 2026. The event brought together tax professionals to address the cutting-edge tax issues affecting the industry.

Megan, who also served as a member of the event’s planning committee, participated in the session “Taxation of Digital Assets in 2026: What is New and What Has Stayed the Same.” She spoke about the existing tax guidance for digital assets, incorporating traditional tax principles with issues specific to this innovative and evolving space.

Tom spoke during the “Corporate Tax Under the OBBBA: Expanded Opportunities, Narrow Escapes” session, in which he discussed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act’s more significant corporate tax changes, such as liberalized expensing rules, expansion of qualified small business rules and more.
