In 1974, Vedder expanded by opening a second office in New York. Located steps away from Times Square, the New York office attorneys have a wealth of experience and knowledge across a variety of practice areas.

Our New York lawyers provide pro bono legal support to the Veterans’ Advocacy Project and New York Legal Assistance Group, and participate in the office’s many community service initiatives, including serving meals at a local inner city soup kitchen once a month. Vedder teamed up with Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) for our first Community Service Day. Rise Against Hunger is a not-for-profit organization focused on ending hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable. Each U.S. office hosted an on-site meal packaging event where we packed, boxed, and loaded trucks with for total of 46,076 meals!

The New York office also participates in and hosts many events via our firm-wide women’s initiative, Women at Vedder Empowering Success (WAVES), and is proud to be a member of the New York Chapter of the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law.

The office is also host to a rotating art display whereby different artists are featured twice each year.
