Lauren Wertheimer is a member of the Labor and Employment group who advises and represents multi-state corporations across industries on managing employment risk and aligning workforce strategies with business goals.
She counsels clients on workplace policies, worker classification, the interactive process and reasonable accommodations, and compliance with federal and state employment laws, including anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws, wage and hour issues, and delivers training and presentations to help employers prevent workplace disputes.
Lauren defends clients in employment litigation, including claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour violations, and workplace torts such as defamation and emotional distress. She also handles wage and hour class actions under California law, including PAGA representative actions, addressing issues such as overtime, minimum wage, meal and rest breaks, wage statements, and off-the-clock work.
