Mackenzie Ellis is a member of the Financial Institutions practice group.

She focuses her practice on advising financial institutions and commercial clients on transactional and regulatory matters. She represents banks, credit unions, trust companies and non-bank lenders in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, drawing on her background as a certified public accountant and former M&A tax consultant to provide practical, business-focused guidance.

Mackenzie has played a lead associate role in multiple M&A transactions, working closely with executive leadership to guide deal strategy and execution. Her experience also includes advising on corporate reorganizations and structuring matters, as well as coordinating with opposing counsel to achieve efficient, commercially sound outcomes.

Mackenzie’s combined legal and accounting background enables her to analyze complex financial information and translate it into clear, actionable advice for clients operating in highly regulated industries.
