Elvira Razzano is a member of the Litigation practice area and represents clients in state and federal court in high-stakes, complex commercial litigation and restrictive covenant and employment litigation.
She also assists clients in drafting and updating agreements for prospective and existing employees, providing strategic guidance with the goal of solving employment problems before they become costly.
Elvira manages all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigations and discovery to dispositive motions, evidentiary hearings, arbitration, and mediation, delivering practical solutions that protect client interests and minimize risk. Elvira’s representations include life sciences companies, banking and financial institutions, public companies, and executive-level and other high-level individuals within those entities. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting clients with immigration status matters and supporting transgender individuals with name changes.
Before joining the firm, Elvira worked at two nationally recognized law firms, gaining experience in class actions, bankruptcy proceedings, products liability litigation, and internal and regulatory investigations. Her prior experience and hands-on approach help clients navigate complex legal challenges efficiently and effectively. Elvira received her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice.
Experience
- Defeated a preliminary injunction motion in which the court found the non-solicitation provisions to be overly broad and unenforceable, and defeated claims for breach of fiduciary duty, aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty, and tortious interference.
- Represented a publicly-held biotechnology company in actions for breach of contract and theft of trade secrets and in the defense of a federal employment discrimination action.
- Obtained dismissal of a federal lawsuit alleging violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (“RICO”) Act on behalf of an international shipping company and its executives.
- Represented a financial institution in a FINRA arbitration action for breach of restrictive covenants and fiduciary duties.
