Michael E. Draz

Michael Draz represents leasing companies, banks, private equity funds, alternative lenders and other investors in complex transactions involving commercial aircraft, railcars and other equipment assets.

He is the Chair of Vedder’s Global Transportation Finance team. With an eye on current deal dynamics and his clients’ long-term business goals, Michael executes cross-border leasing and financing arrangements and negotiates asset purchases and sales. He also advises clients on joint venture arrangements, the structuring of new leasing platforms, mergers and acquisitions, structured financings and securitizations.

Experienced representing parties on all sides of transportation finance transactions, Michael brings a balanced perspective and deep understanding of market trends and dynamics. He fosters strong relationships with clients and finds efficient, commercially sound solutions to complex legal issues.
