In 1952, Vedder was founded in Chicago. Our Chicago location remains the largest office and the administrative headquarters.

This office is an active center of collaboration between practices to resolve client issues. The Chicago office is housed in the historic and award-winning Builder’s BLDG and is located directly on the Chicago River across from The Merchandise Mart.

Attorneys and staff participate in charitable events such as Race Judicata, Lawyers for the Creative Arts and Catholic Charities, and are active in more than a dozen minority and ethnic bar associations and worthy pro bono causes. Vedder teamed up with Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) for our first Community Service Day. Rise Against Hunger is a not-for-profit organization focused on ending hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable. Each U.S. office hosted an on-site meal packaging event where we packed, boxed, and loaded trucks for a total of 46,076 meals!
