Theresa Mary Peyton is a member of the firm’s Global Transportation Finance team. She has over 30 years of experience in commercial and private aircraft, rolling stock and plant machinery equipment finance, and in the representation of export credit agencies.

Based in Chicago, Theresa advises a diverse range of companies in a variety of finance transactions, counseling and representing her clients in corporate and securities matters, with a particular emphasis on global transportation finance matters. She is transaction-oriented and focused on meeting all parties’ business needs while getting the deal done for her client.

Theresa advises borrowers, lessees, lessors, equity participants, credit enhancers and lenders in a variety of financing structures. These include portfolio and company acquisitions and divestitures, secured loans, U.S. and cross-border leveraged leases, operating leases, municipal and cross-border structured financings, public and private securities offerings and debt restructurings.

She has extensive experience in commercial and private aircraft, railcar, bus, telecommunications, miscellaneous equipment and various facility financings, including manufacturing, electricity and gas distribution, and water treatment plants.

Experience

  • Represented the Macquarie Group Ltd. in a $4 billion aircraft acquisition portfolio from AWAS. 
  • Represented the Macquarie Group in a $2 billion aircraft acquisition from American International Group. 
  • Represented Castlelake LP in the private securitization of a portfolio of 79 aircraft leased to 26 lessees in 17 countries.
